Scott King first designed a set of tea towels in 2002, featuring the press communiqués of ‘left wing revolutionary group’ The Angry Brigade, and presented in a collector’s box. King described these as ‘an alternative English heritage product’. In 2012, King created a second series of tea towels entitled ‘Philosophers’ - this set was made up of absurd quotations written by King and credited to the likes of Ludwig Wittgenstein, C.G. Jung and Louis Althusser.

Service Industries is a project expanding on both of the above. Focusing initially on tea towels - which King calls a ‘democratic chip shop art form’- we're pleased to present the collectable, alternative products, which are both utilitarian and affordable.
